The photo I want to share with you was taken by me in my Sicily in Palermo, Italy.
This is a shot of Palatine Chapel in Palazzo Reale in Palermo, the royal chapel of the Norman kings of Sicily commissioned by Roger II in 1132 and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Chapel combines harmoniously different styles like a Byzantine Architecture rich of gold mosaics which gives color and luminance to the chapel, the Norman architecture, the Arabic arches with the script adorning the roof. When you go inside you got a feeling of astonishment by the beauty and light that is reflected from the walls and give a mystical and sacred atmosphere at the same time.

La foto che voglio condividere con voi è stata scattata da me nella mia Sicilia a Palermo, Italia.
Questo è uno scatto della Cappella Palatina situata nel Palazzo Reale di palermo, nella cappella reale dei re dei Normanni, fu commissionata da Ruggero II nel 1132 ed è riconosciuto come patrimonio dell’umanità e bene protetto UNESCO.
Nella cappella si combinano armoniosamente diversi stili architettonici, come quello bizantino ricco di mosaici dorati che donano colore e luminosità all’ambiente, l’architettura normanna e gli archi tipici arabi con i disegni che adornano il soffitto. Quando si entra si rimane estasiati dalla bellezza e dalla luce che viene riflessa dalle pareti e conferiscono un’atmosfera mistica e sacra allo stesso tempo.
Consiglio vivamente a chi non ci fosse andato di visitarla.
