It was a fun, educating and informative time on Real Life Issues with on
discord channel yesterday/this morning.
Steem is not money.
The above statement struck me until the special guest, elaborated a little on it. He has promised to come back and talk more and I am sure, I won't miss the discussion.
The Beginning
The show started with talking about fear; what is fear and the types of fear we have:
- Fear of poverty
- Fear of old age
- Fear of falling in love and many more.
At a point, he asked his listeners to share their experiences. A guy talked about the killing spree he witnessed, another listener talked about fear of public speech amongst others.
took his time to breakdown the types of fear and the possible ways to overcome them. We were deep in the discussion until we got a news of an August visitor in attendance. It was
.
The Man called@surpassinggoogle
took his time to explain on the topic of the day until
made an announcement that
was around. Everyone was surprised and intrigued to have such amazing character with us.
When he was finally asked to talk, he lectured, schooled and inspired us. He talked on his journey on steemit, his endeavours and challenges. His challenges made me wonder: "how can a man so generous be faced with so much challenges?"
The listeners on the show increased just to listen to speak. He was asked so many questions and he answered all questions brilliantly. His journey on steemit from introductory post to submitting proposals up to this present moment.
The After-Party
When eventually ended his show, he announced the After-Party, an opportunity for listeners to interact and have fun with Terry.
The moment of the night was when Terry sang African Queen by Tuface Idibia. Everybody was star struck by his beautiful voice. The floor was eventually opened for the listeners to give a shout out and talk briefly with him.
talked about her bad experience in warri, she was robbed. I pray she recover fully.
rapped for Terry and he was amazed by the rhymes spat out by the young waffi man.
A specious shout out to my people in attendance at the show: ,

To crown it all, Terry talked to us about his challenges since he was kid. How his mother believed so much in him and his dreams till she passed on to eternal glory (RIP Mrs. Ajayi). The pain his father is going through, we even heard him wail. It was a touching and emotional moment for him. It was brave of him to share such personal experiences with us.
The truth is, we always believe our challenges are much until we hear people spill out theirs. I felt challenged, motivated and inspired to live a better life, touch people's lives and endeavor not to lose my shine. In his usual generosity, Terry curated posts of those in attendance and put smile on faces early this morning.
I pray Terry eventually get a good sleep and his father get well soon. It is a part of us now to be a better version of who we used to be. It was a great honor to be a part of the hangout and most importantly, to hear you share steemsecrets with us.
