It's been a while since I have posted, I found that it was challenging while in Japan as the tour that I was on was packed with things to do and when I got back to the room, I just surfed the net a bit and went to sleep... When the tour ended, I had a few days in Tokyo, but was really tired from walking around the whole day!
So here is a few shots from my trip to Hakone which is near Mt. Fuji, the tallest mountain/active volcano in Japan at 12,388 ft above sea level.
There is a Buddhist shrine near the large lake Ashi
We took a boat ride across the lake and to a tram. You can see Mt. Fuji and the orange shrine near the shore.
Before the boat ride, I walked over to the shrine.
This is at the top of the tram ride and a shot of Mt. Fuji in the background
A few shots of the food we ate at a ryokan, a Japanese Inn with a hotspring.
Sashimi / Seafood
If you have never been to Japan, I would highly recommend it especially if you are in Asia on vacation. There is a lot to see and do and you can get to places fairly quickly on the Shinkansen or Bullet train, 300km per hour!
