The Japanese national team said goodbye to the World cup in Russia when they lost the game against Belgium in quite a heartbreaking way. With about 20 minutes left to play Japan had a 2-0 lead but Nacer Chadliś equliser in the last seconds of the game destroyed their dream about an quarter final against Brazil.
Even though the World cup ended in a really sad way they showed quite extraordinary gratefulness when the fans cleaned the stadium and the team players and staff left the dressing room cleaned up and with a note written in Russian: "Thank you Russia"
Quite an example for all other teams...and for everyone.
Quote from twitter:
"I've been travelling the whole world and have come to the conclusion that Japanese people are the most civilised, polite, humble, friendly and clean people you can find. I don't want to moralise but what a contrast to the decline of norms and values in the Western world."
