Yosakoi Soran Festival that came this year too!

今年もやって来ました、よさこいソーラン祭り！
はっきり言って市民は気嫌いするお祭りです(笑)
1週間くらいに渡って地域のあちこちで演舞が始まり、ファイナルが最終日にあるのですが、それまで至る所で交通規制が入ります。

北海道大学の学生だった長谷川岳（現・参議院議員）が大学2年の時、母親がガンを患い、兄が医師として勤める高知県の病院へ入院したため、看病のために訪れた際、本場のよさこい祭りに接しその躍動感に感動、「こうした光景を北海道でも見られたら…」と、1991年12月、学生仲間を募り5名で「YOSAKOIソーラン祭り実行委員会」を発足させ、高知県の「よさこい祭り」と北海道の「ソーラン節」を融合させた「YOSAKOIソーラン祭り」として企画・立案し、誕生したものである。
