
Japanese shares finished
Friday's session at the end of the week high, closing in the green zone for a third consecutive session, as the Nikkei resumed its weekly gains, which were temporarily suspended last week.The Nikkei was up 27.70 points, or 0.12 percent, at 22,550.85. The broader TOPIX index
was up 3.48 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,780.56.The Nikkei average rose 0.5% on Wednesday, and the Topix rose 0.3%, the second consecutive daily gain, and the Tokyo stock market closed on Thursday for a public holiday in the country.This week, the Nikkei gained 0.7%,
resuming its weekly gains, which were temporarily halted last week for the first time in 10 weeks.Some of the heavyweights on the Japanese market indexes gained strongly, helping to keep indexes in the Green Zone closed, KD rose 2.6% and Softbank rose 1.4%.
