My father had suffered from hemorrhoids, and when he had a colonoscopy every year, polyps were found.
It has been two years since he was placed in the nursing home and he has not had a colonoscopy in that time. He himself feels like giving up.
My father is 84 years old. It may be hard on the body to undergo a colonoscopy. A CT scan may only detect large polyps, but it does not hard on the body.
Which one he chooses is up to him.

父は痔を患ったことがあるし、毎年大腸内視鏡検査を受けるとポリープが見つかっていたようです。
彼が老人施設に入ってから2年になるが、その間大腸内視鏡検査を受けていません。本人もあきらめ気味です。
父は84歳です。大腸内視鏡検査を受けるのは体に負担があるかもしれないです。CT検査は大きいポリープしか見つからないかもしれないけど、体に負担はありません。
どちらを選ぶかは彼の選択次第です。
