Yesterday, I wrote about "Children's Gift Certificate" from Katsushika Ward. My elder son got gift certificate for 3,000 yen and went to the bookstore with his father. After an hour he came home having two books. I was shocked at seeing one of them.
昨日、区から届いた「こども商品券」のことを書きました。
3,000円分の商品券を持って、父ちゃんと本屋さんに出掛けた長男。
小一時間後、2冊の本を持って帰ってきたのですが、そのうちの一冊を見て愕然としました。

My husband said to me "I stopped him. But he said that he really needed this book. Also, you told me to buy whatever he wants".
「おれも止めたんだよ、でもどうしてもコレがいいっていうからさ。それに好きなもの買ってやれって言ってじゃん？」と夫。
確かに、言いましたけどね。
As soon as my son came home, he began reading aloud the book in a loud voice. Well, he may be able to study the letters in this book. I was surprised at the title of the book, but I think it is the best for him to study with whatever he interested in.
帰ってきて早速、熱心に音読を始めた長男。
覗いてみると、ちゃんとフリガナもふられているし、字の勉強にはなりそうです。まあ、興味があるものを読むのが一番です。かね？
講談社の動く図鑑 魚 (Visual Dictionary of Fish)
The other book was a visual dictionary of fish. This is what my husband recommended to my son. He likes fishes (to eat and to see).
もう一冊は、父ちゃんの必死の攻防により、魚の図鑑になったようです。
長男は魚が好きなので（食べるのも、見るのも）いいかもしれません。
He wanted to see the DVD in the appendix. And he peeled the DVD from the book by himself...
付録のDVDを観たいと言い、持ってきました。
あれ、どうやって出したんだろう？ と慌てて本を確認すると、思いっきり剥がした跡が。。頼むからもう少し本を丁寧に扱ってよ！
