This past weekend I had planned to do nothing on my car minus paying for parts! So after doing that first thing Sunday, I decided to nip up to the shops quickly before spending the rest of the day lounging around. As I pulled out of my driveway I heard a crunch and thought maybe I had a bad angle, but glancing at my house I noticed a brick had upturned on the driveway, but being a rather flat brick I dismissed it and figured I'd put it back when I got home, but when I got out of the Stagea at the shops..
The f?! The brick must have flipped longways instead of sideways โน๏ธ so I hopped back in the car and babied it home.
It only took 2 seconds to remove the bar and I saw that it had actually ripped the plastic on the bar which was surprising, but made sense as around that area was bolted in hard, and I'm thankful for no gaurd damage or alignment issues. (Minus a very small gap where the bracketing came off (or stayed on lol), its maybe a 5mm gap now whereas the other side is totally flush, but to a normal eye it would go unseen I think. Over a maybe 15-20cm length, no biggie๐
The bracketing stayed bolted to the car and came off the bar, so besides urethaning the tear we put in a few hidden self tappers and refixed the brackets to where they originally were.
Bit of time to dry and slapped it back together, nothing too difficult but standard for a day that you've decided not to work on your car!! ๐
I love the bar off๐
Hopefully my parts come soon!! ๐
