The apostle Paul in his epistle to the Ephesians taught us that with our Lord Jesus there is a new reality, with Jesus there is no longer a difference between the followers of the law of Moses and those who do not follow it, because the grace for salvation comes from the only teacher Jesus. That is why the apostle affirmed in his letter: "For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit" Ephesians 2:18.
What the apostle of the Gentiles explained, in other words, is that with Jesus there is no longer a difference between the circumcised with the uncircumcised because everyone is called by faith to be part of the people of God, a call that was previously only made to Israel:
"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit" Ephesians 2:19-22.
This teaching on the reconciliation between Jews and pagans is of great importance, because in the early days of the Church, there was a marked difference between the christians coming from the Jewish religion and the christians coming from paganism; and this was the reason that led to the first council of Jerusalem.
Paul invited us to believe in a Jesus who calls us to a new freedom, a freedom that is not based on the love of money and the distrust to our neighbor, but rather on a disinterested love (Agape) that seeks the common good and the progress of God's creation, because the purpose of spiritual gifts is to increase the order and perfection of the universe.
The communion of believers, that is, the Church, was for Paul the union in one spirit with Christ, in order to know the Father who is in heaven and not a division between the circumcised and the uncircumcised.
