Goldsmith Graduation Work in JewelryWednesday by Silbart

today I show you my goldsmith graduation work from 2000. It is a ring in silver with palisander wood and a synthetic spinell. Inside is a little electronic device. The wood covers a hole where the signals can enter the rings inside. If your phone gets a call, the ring starts to vibrate and the stone blinks. I found the little device in an electronic store. Just modified it a bit to get it smaller and placed inside the ring. For this work I had a week to finish it.

heute möchte ich Euch mein Gesellenstück vom Februar 2000 aus der Goldschmiedelehre zeigen. Es ist ein Herrenring mit Palisanderholzbesatz und einem synthetischen Spinell. Im Inneren befindet sich ein elektronisches Element, welches ich irgendwann einmal in einem Elektronikshop gekauft hab. Das Teil musste nur etwas in der Grösse reduziert werden und wurde dann in den Ring verbaut. Wenn ein Handy im Umkreis von ca. einem Meter einen Anruf bekommt, blinkt der Stein und der Ring vibriert. Dafür war eine Woche Zeit zur Fertigstellung. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle an meine Chefs Uli und Volker ;)
