The game has just begun. One of the most popular online music streaming websites/apps "SAAVN" has been acquired by Reliance Industries Limited. Now the direct competition for market share will be with “Wynk Music” by Bharti Airtel & “Gaana” by Times Internet. Or in other words, both Bharti Airtel and Times Internet got a tough competitor in online music streaming arena. Both of them surely will buckle up to restructure their business models to fight JIO out,
Now, we should wait and watch what facilities RIL (Reliance Industries Limited) is going to bring on the table for a vast number of online music listeners. As of now, the good news is only for the JIO users. 90 days of Saavn Pro is absolutely free for them and many more surprises are yet to come just like what JIO did in the Telecom Sector.
People call it a revolution in the history of the Telecom Sector. Yes, it surely was. 100 million subscribers in a short span of time were not at all a matter of joke. RIL knew it very well how to lure Indians, where to provide offers and what types of offers, etc. etc. They succeeded in their vision.
RIL’s vision and mission are pretty clear now. Their aim is to have a monopoly business model. They are slowly and steadily approaching it, if not fast.
The days are not so far when our free nation will be controlled by one man/family. Democracy will be brutally raped and we wouldn't be able to do anything but to watch everything silently.
