History records the great achievements of great authors. Kathashilpi Sarat chandra chattopadhyay is one of them. We admire and respect them.
Sarat chandra chattopadhyay, the grat bangla novelist, was born on 15 september,1876, at Debanandapur village in hooghly district. His father was Motilal chattopadhyay and mother Bhuban Mohini Devi. Sarat chandra had to take charge of the house at a very young age after the demise of his parents. In 1903, he went to Myanmar and joined a railway company. He submitted a short returned to kolkata because of health problems. It was then that Sarat chandra took to writing seriously. He completely devoted himself to his novels and short stories. Sarat chandra was also actively involved in the Indian freedom movement.
Sarat Chandra's writings are striking for their sincerely and realism. His works have been translated into all major Indian languages. His most famous novels are 'Bardidi', 'Biraj Bou', 'Bindur Chele', 'Mejodidi', 'Pallisamaj', 'Charitraheen', 'Baikunther Will' and 'Pather Dabi' among many others. He created a flash of lightning in the world of literature. His last writing was 'Subhoda', published after his death. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyaya died of cancer on 16 january 1938 at park nurshing home in Calcutta.
Today I visited to Sarat palli, Bagnan in the district of howrah where this great author spend his last days. It is a great achievement to come on this place and learn about this great author. Such a great lovely place for tourists and for learning. Today I enjoyed a lot here and learn a lot of things about this great author. I am very happy to visit here.
