Tuesday
I'm thinking about maybe doing a weekday post. It has been a long time since I managed to get a post a day out every day in a week. Maybe If I named them. So even if I do not get one out tomorrow, I at least tried. I came close to 7 daily post in a row this last week, but then Monday happened. So now the week and effort begins anew.
Up first a smartphone picture to start, it is Tuesday after all and that means #treetuesday.
This is a small stand of trees just outside the Bistro Restaurant. Our current favorite place to indulge, mostly soups and salads, but some times steak, and then today, a three piece chicken dinner.
The picture was taken at 3:03 PM. I still do not like crowds, so getting there at opening time is always a fun thing to do. is the man that brought us #treetuesday. I know he would have loved the chicken dinner that I had with roasted carrots, cauliflower and garlic mashed potatoes. I tell you those mashed potatoes were good, but the fried chicken, some of the best I have ever had. You would think I would remember to take a picture if I am going to talk about it, but I am still slow to remember those food pictures.
Chicken takes a little while to cook, 25 minutes or so we were told, so I went back out and got my big camera to take some pictures of Mount Spur. It sits about 63 miles away according to google maps.
This one was taken at 3:22 PM from the outdoor dining deck. I did crop this image, but no other edits done.
This next image very similar, but no cropping and a bit more zoomed in than the previous.
This one was taken at 3:25, pretty much the same place as the one above, only with the lens zoomed in for a closer look.
And just to show you that you do not need to sit outside to enjoy the views, this one was taken from inside the restaurant through the window:
This was taken at 4:26 PM. As you can see the sun is almost set with just a little bit of sunlight still on the higher parts of the Mountain. By 5:00 PM it is pretty much already dusk, and full dark by 5:30.
In case you did not notice there is one thing missing from the pictures, that has in some of his more recent ones and videos, and that is a lack of that soft white, lets make the world look a bit brighter and cleaner, those pesky little piled up snowflakes. Last year we had our first inch and a half snow fall on 11-11-2018, looks like it may be just a bit later this year.
So after getting the last minute, winter is coming things, that chicken dinner was great. I will try to remember and get pictures of it next time, because there will definitely be a next time.
