A Room With a View, Meeting the Emperor
Four days ago was when we entered the ship, when our lives changed and we were no longer just part of the Earth. We were now a part of the galactic empire. Members in a society we knew nothing of. We learned through their sleep education system. Today was the day. We were going to virtually meet the Emperor of the galaxy. We were brought into a gathering room, we were unprepared for the view. Mouths fell open, some eyes got teary, and a collective intake of breaths could be heard. Some of us had seen pictures of nebula from the Hubble telescope, some of us had seen artist renditions of nebula, nothing could have prepared us for the truth of the beauty of space.
The lights were slowly brought up, and the “view” was somewhat muted. We directed our attention to a center stage, the air and light seemed to shimmer around it and coalesced into an image. From this image we were welcomed. The language spoken was foreign to our ears, but we understood the words, the sleep study helped, as we were first told upon arrival.
“Greetings, you have seen the beauty of space, now let me tell you about the ugly side of space...”
end of 5 minutes.....
So the questions:
- What was his special day about?
- Why did he face his chair away from the sunset?
- Why leave the keys in the car?
- What was he waiting for?
- Why did he need a lunch?
- What was he waiting on?
So the keys have been explained sort of, and the now the lunch, and I have absolutely no idea where this is going, but I am having a little bit of fun doing it. I was finding it hard to use the prompts and keep the story flowing in one direction, so a slight change up to the pattern. Tiny little bits that may one day build a bigger story, parts taken form the beginning, the ending, and all parts in-between.
