We went for a short drive today. While out we stopped by a favorite Eagle viewing spot. Most days there are several Eagles in this area, Today there were a lot of them. It was as if they wanted to stay in the trees and roost since it was so cold. They were on both sides of the road in the trees. There really was a lot of them. A couple Ravens were out and about flying.
You can still see all the morning hoarfrost on the trees from the fog. We get frozen fog a lot in Alaska. It is some of the worst stuff to have to drive or fly through, so I can not blame all the Eagles wanting to sit the morning out.
All I can think is that the bird on the lower branch is think, "He better not poop on me".
A couple Ravens were out and about flying, but it was a quick point and shoot and while not a total blur, it is not as clear as I would have liked, plus there was just nothing behind them, just clear blue sky. No clouds no nothing to make it an interesting shot. So since their shot did not satisfy me here is one of an Eagle in Flight.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures, and yes there can be interesting things to see on those cold days.
All photo's taken by me.
No triffids were hurt in the making of this post.
