I would like to share what I just experienced today.
An hour before I was on my way to McDonald's, suddenly I was almost out of my breath when I saw a police van blocking the road, there was no other way to go on the other side of the road so I slowed down my car at a good distance. As currently I am studying in U.K. and I am in karachi for my vacations so I was driving my sisters cars and I was not aware whether where she keeps her car documents. I found the vehicles documents but i didn't have my driving licence with me so I immediately called my dad and told him about them and asked him to stay with me on the phone. As soon as I reached near the police van one of the cops gave me a hand to stop, with a fear in my heart I stopped my car and opened my window he shook hands with me and said Asalamalikum Sir kya hal hain, aap kahan rahtay hain I told him that I live in phase 8 then he asked me where are you going so late I said I am going to McDonald's he said ok Sir thank you and I left immediately.
I couldn't believe the way he spoke in a such a well mannered and polite way ! I started moving towards McDonald's in all this time I completely forgot that my father was on the phone and suddenly my phone rang it was my dad i thought that the line must have got disconnected so as I answered the phone I told him that I am fine, he said he was on the phone and He heard us.
The reason why i am sharing this post I have always noticed people posting videos or photos regarding our police from which most of these posts are negative. After my today's experience I must appreciate the way this cop talked to me which every policemen should do, I also noticed that they all looked very young, well presentable.
On my way back when I passed through them I managed to take their photos because I noticed they were wearing new black uniform and a yellow jacket which I have never seen any policemen wearing before. When I came home I showed their photos to my dad and he told me that it's their new uniform. There is no doubt if there is a will then everything is possible hats of these policemen. I am sure if all other policemen start treating public in such a good way then it will be time soon when public will start giving them same respect.
