By now many of you know that I have been trying to rally support for my friend who lives in Kerala and is a flood survivor. I was overjoyed to see the support she received things are looking a lot better for her right now. Sayee used some of the funds donated to help people who were even worse off that she was. Like a farmer that rents a plot from her who lost all his crops ( that is him in the picture above and sayee giving him some of the funds) and a woman that did not even have a change of cloths.
Thing is the Indian government is doing little to nothing for the people and they are not distributing the official donations they are getting either. should we as a world community just stay there and watch ? I say no!
So what can you do to help these people?
A- donate to individuals not the government
B- go on socialmedia and make people aware of the situation
C-reach out to people like Sayee who still have internet and organise relief efforts of your own.
D- Help me and Sayee organise onsite relief. Donations are great, but I also want to expand on that but am not quite sure yet how. I want to get Biosandfilters out there to help with water contamination. And maybe find alternative ways to get clothing and food to the people as local businesses are jacking up prices out of greed. I need people in the ground people to brainstorm with and people willing to finance as I live beneath the poverty level and am basically useless :( If you have any ideas please leave them in the comment section <3
