Hours before the holiday we went to a wedding but my daughter was keen to get going on our hols.
Wife, daughter and mother-in-law in tow, we set off at 7pm. It was a 2 hour drive from our home in Redcar but unfortunately I got lost near Scotch Corner due to not paying attention and lots of roadworks which added 30 mins to journey.
We finally arrived at our week long rented bungalow. With the wedding it had been a long day so after a nip o' whiskey I was fast asleep.

It's in the Lake District which gets a lot of rain but luckily we only got soaked on a few occasions.

We had lots of fun. I would recommend Keswick in August for a family holiday.
