KEYCHAIN PREPERATION
SteemConnect is the system we've used up until now and we'll continue to support it however we're really excited about keychain...
If you have the browser extension installed it will automatically know and use keychain... otherwise you'll log in just like normal using steemconnect.
So we think you should get ready by downloading the Chrome/Brave extension

They will be developing a Firefox extension soon.
WHY KEYCHAIN
IN SHORT
- Makes things even safer
- Very convenient to use
It allows websites to request that the extension sign and broadcast transactions for them, so that the user never has to enter their private keys into the site directly. This means that even with a malicious site operator, or a compromised server, your keys are safe. -
