My daughter's belated birthday party was held today. Smaller than 50% attendance. This time of the year is a very busy time for children's birthday parties and we were a bit late in sending the invitations. She was born in July and we have only once held a party for her friends at that time because many families travel in July. After the schools start in mid-August, most kids born in the summer have their birthday parties. My daughter had to change schools this year because Russian could not be studied as a foreign language in her old school. One of my daughter's new classmates had her party at the same hour and three of her new classmates from her school who were invited attended the birthday party of the other kid. The only kid from her new school was new to the school as well. Two of her old friends were out of the country.
In addition to my wife and myself, present were , his sons, a friend from my daughter's old school who also lives next door, and a new friend and a classmate from my daughter's new school. Despite numbering only five in total, the kids made an awful lot of noise but I enjoyed having them all meet and having
over at the coffee table. We didn't have to clean very thoroughly after the kids in addition to collecting the dishes and putting them into the dishwasher. Just vacuumed about 40 m2 of floor space in total to clear it of all the paper streamer and cookie crumbs, and wiped clean some tables. Good times.
