For this week's song, I wanted to share a collaboration I did with my daughters. A couple weeks ago, we decided that for an activity we would write a song together. My youngest daughter became very excited and said almost immediately, " I know just what we can do, Dad". So I opened my songbook and began to take down my daughter's ideas on the page. She almost instantaneously came up with the concept of "Everybody loves a little bit of love", "Everybody needs a little bit a love". I quickly responded back with, "keep it in your heart no matter where you are." From that point, the song just seemed to write itself, as my girls and I battled back and forth, trading lyrical ideas.

All in all, the song took about 30 min to compose. It definitely has a very retro vibe that reminds me of 1960s folk and pop. Yet, regardless of the era of sound, I feel that the theme is certainly universal. I was so proud to have composed this tune with my girls. It was their first song collaboration. I feel the important aspect of this was that we worked to compose the tune together as a family and had fun together. Yesterday we captured the video and recorded this for you all. I hope you enjoy this song and carry its message into all that you do. Especially, please remember to do some sort of fun activity with the children in your life any time you can. We all need to have fun and of course, everybody needs a "Little Bit Of Love". Peace to you from us to you. See you next week.
