Eyewitnesses said that the boys were unwittingly pushed by a train when they were crossing the train line.
The 14-to-16-year-old children are daily wage workers. They worked as a painter and yogaist and had friends with each other.
They left for the train to get a train from Gaziabad to work in Hyderabad in Hyderabad. But the train was going back to Peelkhua after a midnight break.
Six of them, Vijay, Akash, Rahul, Samir, Arif and Selim were killed on the spot. The identity of the other teenager in the ICU of the hospital was not known.
Locals said that they had ear phones in their ears, and they were listening to songs during the incident.
