Who makes decisions about who lives and who dies? I have a burning question where are we heading with great and immense technological advancements?
The rise of the drones is near, still a very early revolution and nobody knows exactly whats coming next but we fear that a dystopian future with autonomous weapons is awaiting us, with killer bots swarming our world.
I came across a couple of articles on Vice "Watch ‘Slaughterbots,’ A Warning About the Future of Killer Bots and Hackernoon with the title "The Coming Age Of Killermachines" and found out about a new, terrifying, nightmarish and fictional film called "Slaughterbots".
The potential exists for all missions considered too dangerous or complex for humans to be turned over to autonomous machines that can make decisions faster and go in harm’s way without any fear. Think of it as the coming swarm, and if that sounds like the title of a sci-fi mini-series, well, stay tuned. The safeguard who wants to stop such autonomous weapons
Human Rights Watch is exposing #humanrights abuses around the world, an AI watchdog organisation, called "The Future of Life Institute" who released this short film, imagining a future where smart drones kill.
This new generation of drones is set to revolutionise warfare and is for sure the biggest thing since the nuclear bomb. David Martin reported in The Coming Swarm which aired on January 8th 2017 on 60 minutes.

Slaughterbots shows a potential horror!
This new generation of drones are able to operate on their own without humans controlling them from somewhere with a joy stick. Some autonomous machines are run by artificial intelligence which allows them to learn, getting better each time - David Martin
The film opens with a Silicon Valley CEO-type delivering a product presentation to a live audience a la Steve Jobs. The presentation seems innocuous enough at first—the presenter seems to be unveiling some new drone technology—but takes a dark turn when he demonstrates how these autonomous drones can slaughter humans like cattle by delivering “a shaped explosive” to the skull.- Source Vice
