when I played the new pc game title "kingdom come deliverance" it made me remember the pc game "mafia" (the original) that I've finished back in 2003. It was a 3D open world game and while it wasnt the first of its kind (GTA 3 was) It did something different back then - it evoked emotion. The one tech detail that the game developer was proud of with this game is a new face recognition feature which made faces in this game much more alive then we've seen before this title, especially compared to the emotionless faces of GTA 3. These faces, along with a never seen before mafia story in a pc game which played like a movie similar to the movies "goodfellas" and "carlito's way" (which are movies I adored back then and now :)) all these combined with a realstic and slick 30's era gameplay made this game on of the best of all times in my humble opinion.
"kingdom come deliverance" is a traditional 3D RPG open world game which do alot of things similar to "mafia" by using alot of facial impresions and use them to tell an interesting and sad story of a young man that leaves in a kingdom in which there is a rebellion for the crown and during a raid which is led by the king betrayer his mother and father gets killed in front of his eyes and he (you) needs to escape for hes life. While this doesnt sound to original, the way it played until that part when hes parents got killed made you interested with the characters and care for them in a way that when the event actually happends it feels sad and you feel drown to the story and want to keep playing to see what will happen next. Of course the graphics are awesome and the gameplay is refreshing especially with the ability in the battle to choose which way you swing your sword or fists.
