Another old photo of Curator Cat as an adorable and endlessly curious kitten, at just ten weeks of age... exploring the living room when I first was adopted into this household.
Those were good days!
These are STILL good days, and the point of my post (aside from the cute photo!) is a reminder of the importance of gratitude.
When we get — or accomplish — something good and it stays in our lives, we have a tendency to start taking it for granted once we get used to it being around all the time.
I now have a cushy home and Humans who love me and feed me, but it wasn't always so. There was a time when my siblings and I were helpless kittens, abandoned in a box at the side of the road till a kindly soul found us and took the box to the animal shelter... and thankfully we all found "forever homes."
So I am grateful today, for the good life I now have. I am grateful my Humans chose me at the shelter, and that they said "Let's adopt the BLACK kitten, because black cats are always the last to be adopted!"
My invitation to you, today, is to take a moment to be grateful for good things in your life that you have, and which you perhaps didn't have in the past. Often we start complaining about things, without realizing just how blessed we actually are.
Hope you have all had a wonderful day!
