The two most important reasons why I have sought knowledge is for money and health. I guess this are some of the two most important aspect of our daily lives, and you need knowledge that's monetizable.
Knowledge that can easily turn to currencies, turn ideas into results and results into tangibles.
There are knowledge everywhere, lessons to be learned, skills to be gotten, experience to be acquired and all these depends on willingness: the time you're willing to give, the money you're willing to sacrifice and the seriousness that you need to put in.
Knowledge is light, it takes away a lot of dark corners and make you really enlighten, and this is why people are advised to learn at a very young age. I started learning about health in 2023, started researching about the very fabrics of the health condition I have.
Health
I buried myself in multiple research works and published articles, spent months studying hypothesis and reports, making multiple comparisons.
Unfortunately there is no cure for me, just management, lifestyle change and several options for care that are subscriptional. I spent time looking for cheaper options only to realize there were none.
I didn't just dig into the health issues I had, I began to look at how the human body functions. Why modern medicine says some part of the heal and others cannot.
I've been letting my curiosity help me explore so many health possibilities, and whether there were actually human organs that can heal and modern medicine still haven't figured out how it can.
Whenever I go to my specialist doctor, she knows she's not talking to an illiterate or ignorant patient.
Most times I go home, putting in extra research even beyond her hematology experience and reach, not because I want to know more than that, but because I don't want my care to end within the walls of the hospital.
I feel I have a part to play in taking care of myself and even the doctors don't care about your healing when you're not paying or subscribing to their care, afterall the system is expensive and designed to keep you paying always.
Money
I have done quite well in respite to acquiring knowledge related to my health but in terms of money, I haven't done enough.
I'm planning to start up a business partnership with someone close to me, and I'm been putting up some crazy research on the back end but I haven't done enough and hoping to do more.
You cannot afford to go in blind when it comes to money, also you have to leverage on information available to do absolutely better than the others and this matters a lot. You cannot have "too much" knowledge, there will always be a blind spot that your research cannot carry, and this will only be fixed with more knowledge and more research.
As a person, make sure to do your best to seek the right knowledge, this is the most important thing we can ever do. Staying insightgul, curious and hungry is how we can have more this is why I think the only obsession that pays off is the obsession for more knowledge.
