Chinese Qing dynasty's vase sold at highest price in auction.
In November 2010 , The 18th century vase sold at a suburban auction house in London. The bid for this 16 inch vase started at $800,000 but after some time of bidding it's price rose unexpectedly and the gravel fell at 69.5 million.
The ovoid shape and predominantly pastel yellow and sky blue color vase is dated from the period of the Emperor Qinlog , who reigned from 1735 to 1796, at the height of Qing dynasty.
Adding in the 20% buyer's premium levied by the auction and Britain value added tax , the total came to $85.9 million. The buyer was from china and he made the bid on telephone.
At that time, It was the highest price ever paid at auction for a Chinese antiquity.
