I woke up this morning to the news that police and tax agencies are raiding exchanges in the ROK. This obviously is setting an unpleasant precedent for the rest of the world, but what are the wider implications of this?
Will the citizens of Korea just say "oh ok, our political overlords have said that we're not allowed to have fun with crypto" or will the citizens rise up and say "this isn't the DPRK, you can't tell us what to do"?
I'd be interested to hear from any Koreans here on Steemit who are managing this crypto crisis, and whether or not they plan to carry on trading even in the face of a trading ban. Maybe there isn't a ban and the media have totally blown this out of perspective?
