Winter Olympics shines spotlight on dog meat trade in South Korea

As most of you know, Jeju, our beautiful Jindo mix that we adopted last year, is a rescue from the dog meat industry in South Korea.
He is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I can honestly say I never knew I had this much love to give.
But I would be lying if I said it has not come with challenges.

It has been so great to see the increase in interest and awareness in the U.S. about the dog meat trade in Asia. These poor dogs are suffering every day and just want to live a happy and safe life, possibly with you 🤗

That being said, please do your research before you fully commit to helping save these sweet, amazing, intelligent dogs.

Rescuing a dog from this type of life is VERY different from a rescue dog born and raised in the U.S. and comes with a higher level of responsibility.
These dogs require a greater level of patience, understanding, and empathy, but there has not been a single day that I have regretted it.
