North Korean leader to China to personally congratulate Xi Jinping on his re-election as president of China on his first overseas visit
The two leaders exchanged views on the current world situation and discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula.
"Our consistent position is that we are engaged in nuclear disarmament on the peninsula, in accordance with the wishes of the late President Kim Il Sung and the late Secretary-General Kim Jong Il," said Kim Jong-un. He said he was ready to hold a summit with the United States and was ready to meet with leaders of that country and South Korea.
It is known that North Korea and China have signed an agreement more than half a century ago for joint defense
