A child was born. A child was raised in an environment where he had to do for himself. He had to wake up for school, come home, wash his own clothes, cook his own food and figure out how to do it day in and day out because the parent was either always drunk or passed out from drugs.
Now I was always taught to be considerate to others, and as I grew older I was told addiction is a disease, not a choice. My own personal opinion, it's a choice. No one makes you drink alcohol or abuse drugs daily. God didn't make any mistakes putting us on this planet, if you are here then the good lord has a plan for you.
That child was so lost and confused that one day he went to school, he got jumped by some bullies because he wasn't the best dressed or the richest kid in school, but he was one of the smartest kids in school. That same kid grew up and made something of himself, He became a police officer who now helps other kids go through what he went through when he was alone and afraid.
If you or anyone you know is fighting any addiction from drinking or drugs please, please contact your local AAA or drug rehab centers, they will help. If you run into any child that might need help, please contact your local Child Protective Services. God doesn't make mistakes, you're here for a reason.
