Six months ago my wife said she would like to go to Lake Tahoe for her birthday. Her desire was to see the lake in the summertime, do some fishing, and be with family for her birthday. Well, these past few days were exactly what we did. We still have Sunday left to adventure around the area and enjoy a meal before heading home. Yesterday was pretty much a travel day to get to our vacation rental property and once we arrived we settled in and had a few brews and then called it a night. There were a few memorable highlights today, from fishing in the morning to playing in the lake's beach sand to enjoying a fabulous birthday dinner for my wife. All of today's activities were awesomely wonderful but the key place that grabbed my soul was the lake time. We nestled into a nice grassy cove near the lake and then came across this magnificent, may I say estuary if this is correct, although it was the point where fresh water meets fresh water...regardless the scenery was spectacular and one I'll remember for a long time.
After enjoying the perfect day to be at the lake, my wife saw this amazing tree and asked for my phone to take a picture of it. How she thought to capture this tree in black and white, IDK, but I applaud her instinct and credit her for this cool photo. Quite stunning. I think we will frame this scene and hang it somewhere in our house.
As far as the fishing goes, we haven't caught anything aside from a buzz. But that's the minimum for fishing anyways, right? We still have Sunday morning to cast our lines a few more times and enjoy Lake Tahoe.
Cheers to all!
