This is not simple old bridge. This is a suspension bridge. It means that: a bridge in which the weight of the deck is supported by vertical cables suspended from larger cables that run between towers and are anchored in abutments at each end.
The Viljandi Swing Bridge is a suspension bridge in Viljandi Castle Hills




Which was made in 1879 in Riga. 1931. aastal paigaldati 50-meetrine sild Viljandi lossimägedesse üle suure oru, mille sügavus on 15 meetrit. In 1995, it was reconstructed.
