Today I was snowboarding in Poiana Brașov in the Postavaru Mountains. The highest pick of the mountain measures 1799 meters and looks like that:
Poiana Brașov ski resort is located near Brașov and you can easily get there by car. Poiana Brașov is the most developed ski resort in Romania with over 50km of slopes and many cables.
Sorry for the spot in the picture above but the window of my cable cabin was not so clean. The lake that you see is artificially made, and its purpose is to help with the snow in hot days.
The best place to relax is Cabana Postavaru, a mountain hut with great food and scenery.
After a long day, my board collapsed and I was forced to get down on foot.
In the end, I had a great time and if you visit Brașov it will be a pity not to go to Poiana Brașov (only 13km distance)!
