My weekend consisted of snow covered mountains, warm coffee, and good people.
Friday morning, I traveled 3 hours into the middle of nowhere to enjoy my weekend with a large group of highschoolers. With smiles on our faces we chose to put our phones to the side (which is the reason I haven't posted over the weekend) and enjoy each-other face to face.
The trip started on a crazy note, we had to pack all our gear up into the mountains (I am the drummer in our band), but after we loaded up all of the equipment, this happened.
Thankfully, we were able to air the tire up and continue on our adventure. We drove to the cabins through the mud and snow and unloaded everything.
As we arrived at our destination I was expecting cramped, small log cabins, but I was amazed by how large the so-called cabins were.
But, the exteriors weren't the only cool part of the buildings, and apart from the awesome game rooms, and large cafeterias the entire building was full of awesome decorations.
Oh, how I love the smell of log houses, also the super homey vibe they give off just makes me never want to leave. This place has now become one of my favorite places to visit. But, the awesome cabin wasn't the real reason I was here, I was here to play music and hangout (two of my favorite things) and that is exactly what we did. We set up everything and enjoyed a wonderful music filled weekend. The kids stood in front and hung from the balcony, laughing and singing. It was so much fun!
To finish the weekend off, we had to do what everybody had to do. Tear down and clean up! But since we had everyone work together, we got to go home early, back to our phones and internet filled lives.
All in all, it was a fantastic trip, full of laughing, dancing, and drinking warm beverages. I live for times like these, and people like this make life even more worth living.
What a wonderful adventure.
That is all I have for right now! Thank you so much for reading and being a part of my life depicted through my photos.
