The Sea to Sky Platform.
A land up over, than a land down under.
There's no better way to show a first time Aussie Visitor to Canada, a little bit of the west coast beauty than doing something like this. Especially during the winter season when they have never experienced snow before?!
A scenic 45 minute drive from downtown Vancouver, and roughly a 10 minute Gondola ride up the mountain gives you a sweet view of a small part of Vancouver's beautiful backyard.
Theres a lot going up at this place. A beautiful suspension bridge from one mountain to another, couple hiking trails, a few lookout points and a restaurant and cafe. But, today I'll just share the look out platform area with you
The Chief Overlook Viewing Platform.
This viewing platform extends out over hundreds of metres high from the highway below.. Its an awesome experience to stand close to the edge and see the landscape surrounding Howe Sound. This day was a little extra special with the low clouds rolling by covering up parts of our view, but it was beautiful as each minute passed by, we had something different to look at. The sun was also out which made for some cool shots... and well I just really didnt want to show our visitor the rainy side of Vancouver we are all use to : (
It's a smaller post, but hope you guys enjoyed it anyways! As always thanks for taking the time to have a look!
Cheers!
