The Island you see above is situated in the middle of River Brahmaputra. Also known as the Peacock Island, it is the place where an Ahom King(Devotee of Lord Shiva) had built the Umananda Temple.
The temple, at present had become a significant tourist attraction. And hundreds of visitors cross the river in a motorboat(locally called ferries) to see the place.
