The beautiful, rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales is home to small market towns, tiny hamlets and farms. Oh, and sheep. Lots of lots of sheep. A favourite holiday destination for campers and hikers, this is where the famous series of books about the life of a vet were written by James Herriot, chronicling his adventures as a vet in the Dales. The weather up here changes on almost a minute by minute basis and the huge skys stretch away to infinity.
