Looking at the back side of one of the best climbs in Canmore Alberta. Ha Ling Peak is a peak at the northwestern end of Mount Lawrence Grassi — a mountain located immediately south of the town of Canmore just east of the Spray Lakes road in Alberta's Canadian Rockies.
Take all your gear, that for sure. It was an amazing date up there. It’s a long steep trek and I cannot say enough be prepared. This is a medium difficulty hike in the summer but add in some snow and a short winter day and you have a very challenging peak to conquer.
Water, a headlamp, waterproof pants & jacket as well as crampons are all a must if you're venturing out during this time of year. However if your prepared the views from the top are totally breathtaking. Just watch out for the gusts of wind.
Happy trekking everyone.
