in the land of bunny-hop
Summer seemed to coalesce into late autumn in a matter of days and I find myself falling into winter unwillingly, dragged by hoof and claw, tail and paw, into a swirling rabbit hole of lost time and promises.
How can we come to terms with life when we live at the periphery of unseen worlds we long to explore? I am a creature of many worlds and accepted by none. Do I pretend to be a part of the world I was born to or immerse myself in one of my own making?
As difficult as it's been to find a crisp day free of grey sun, rain clouds and lethargy, I managed to venture out on a mission to capture the fey after stumbling across a nature preserve to the north.
I can't say I'm content with my lack of success at capturing finer detail and the illusive sprites which haunt my mind, but I did try my hand with a few delicate fantasies.
The alien balance of light and dark, color and stillness seems to evade my ken. I make due with what I can render, and if colors seem too bright, or flowers too bold, I ask you to look beneath the material world for the enchantment within.
I'm merely pleasing myself with a vision of the world as I'd like to see it.
I hope you enjoyed these!
