This is a lovely view of the mountains in Val Thorens in the Three Valleys, French Alps.
It can appear quite barren, there aren't many trees because of the altitude - Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe. It doesn't quite have the highest lift, but there isn't a higher altitude village.
I do really like Val Thorens, even though its at one "end" of the three valleys - its got great access to some really nice lifts and areas.
