I recently bumped into David Bach’s book 'The Automatic Millionaire'. And it’s the “latte factor” topic that struck me the most. How I wish I’ve known this concept after college. I’ve probably saved and invested an amount. David explains that latte factor are little everyday expenditures that most of us are not mindful of. Example: You spend $5 for a cup of coffee every day. Let’s try to remove that daily coffee habit. Do the math. It allows you to save $150 or $1,800 a year! That’s good enough savings, right?! Then, invest that amount! The idea is, be wise in your spending even up to the little things. Latte factor is not limited to a latte. It can be cigarette. Figure out what’s your latte factor and do something about it.
