Following the Covid shutdowns, Latter-day Saints in Utah and other places are slowly starting to reopen their temples, favoring a series of phases to full operation.
With all the temples dotted across the map of Utah, it's exciting to see them up and running again, there's a lot of work to do still.
I have visited numerous temples in Utah, and I still have plenty more to get to! But one temple that I routinely pass along the stretch of road between Orem and Salt Lake is the Oquirrh Mountain Temple (pronounced Oh-kur, for those unfamiliar with the oddity of the name). Last week, I decided to go ahead and stop for some photos. The evening was lovely, and multiple people were wandering the grounds just for the chance to be in the presence of a place dedicated to God.
May the world see an easement from its troubles soon.
