Allison Reardon has been fined 4,000 Australian Dollars for falsely reporting being sexually assaulted by a taxi driver. The taxi driver was lucky to have had a CCTV camera in his cab that had showed definitively that no assault took place; it did, however, show Ms Reardon get extremely upset because she though the driver took a longer route to get her where she needed to go - even though the whole ride was apparently a 12 minute affair.
So a woman tries to get you jailed for hours for the smallest of affronts - and what she gets as penalty is just a few hours of embarrassment and a fine on the scale of an average monthly salary, give or take. And even that is not bad - in comparison to many situations of the same nature where the female accuser would have gotten off scot-free. So if you are a feminist - are you outraged yet at this utter lack of equality before the law?
