1. Introduction
If you're like the majority of us Americans, you may have watched the evening news and heard someone say that most terrorists were Muslims but that most Muslims were not terrorists. In a number of my articles here on this writing platform, I have made the point that labeling adult men pedophiles who take a non-Platonic interest in teenage girls is no different from accusing every Salvadorian of being an MS-13 gang member. It just doesn't make any sense.
Well, I feel that this article here of mine is long overdue, and there will be many to follow inasmuch as I don't believe that only one article will do justice to this subject. The term "MAP" ("Minor-Attracted Person") is a linguistic aberration that should never have made its way into the English language. To put it shortly and sweetly, it is a word that has definitely lumped oranges and apples in together in a way that is catching innocent bystanders in its line of fire.
What prompted me to post this article here of mine is that I came across a comment from one of my fellow writers on HubPages. He cited MAPs as an example of pedophilia. I wanted to set him straight, but I have participated with him on other discussion threads on HubPages in the past and he and I have agreed on fairly much everything regarding politics.
I know how strange it appears, but I don't like to lose that positive ongoing interaction with him or anyone on the writing site who has backed up my statements on discussion threads. Even though you usually don't meet any of these people in person that you interact with online in discussion threads, you get to know their viewpoints and ideologies; and you don't want to generate any negative energy against them if you normally agree with them on most everything.
The first time I really got involved in combating this confusing and ambiguous term "MAP," I had chimed in on a discussion in the comments section of an article titled "What in the bloody hell are MAPs?" by a gentleman who goes by the user name of meno. The gist of my comments were that if incorporating the term "MAP" into the English language allows for society to treat men in non-Platonic cross-generational relationships with teenage girls no differently from sexual predators who molest toddlers, then we're literally accusing both John Walsh and Corey Feldman of being MAPs.
When John Walsh, co-founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, first started dating his current wife, he was comfortably in his twenties and she was only 16 years old. After Corey Feldman became legally an adult at the age of eighteen, he started a sizzling romance with a 14-year-old girl (Drew Barrymore). If I were to accuse either one of these men of being pedophiles, every self-proclaimed child advocate would be sniping at me from every direction.
The term "MAP" has no place in the English language, because fact has it that even though all pedophiles are MAPs, most MAPs are not pedophiles. That is, the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders ("DSM-5") uses the onset of puberty for the minor being pursued rather than the legal voting age as a factor to determine whether or not someone over 16 years of age attracted to that same minor is a pedophile. It's as plain and simple as that.
Certain self-proclaimed child advocates hate the term "MAP," because it attempts to water down the identity of someone who would commit a horrendous sex crime against a small child in a way that suggests that it is no different from a 19-year-old man (legally an adult) engaging in sexual intimacy with his 17-year-old girlfriend (legally a minor). Chris-Hansen wannabes who video-record their sex-sting operations to post on YouTube want all of you to believe that there is no difference between the two scenarios, but there is a world of a difference between them.
People like me who question the fairness and integrity of the statutory-rape laws here in the United States hate the term "MAP," because it misleads the public to believe that there is no difference between an adolescent girl engaging in teenage sex with a cross-generational male partner and a deranged child rapist grabbing a 3-year-old kid off a playground to violate that infant in every way unimaginable. YouTubers who push this same agenda to integrate the term "MAP" into the English language have lost my respect.
There was this one female YouTuber whose name escapes my memory, and she simply loved making YouTube videos about "MAPs." She would run her mouth in those videos about how she felt it was no different for a 23-year-old man to date a 15-year-old girl than it was for a middle-aged man to sexually molest a 5-year-old girl. It later came out to the public that that this woman had been blackmailing this other female YouTuber, using nude photographs of her from when this other woman was 15 years old.
After finding out about that transgression of this one female YouTuber in question, I thought that she certainly had no moral high ground to be accusing anyone of being a pedophile or any kind of sex criminal. These people do not care about the well-being and safety of children, because if they did, they would be campaigning to eliminate parental testamentary freedom in our American inheritance laws.
Nevertheless, getting back to the comments I posted in meno's above-described article, what really irritated me about some of the other people who posted in the comments section was that they believed that teenage marriage was somehow connected with the discussion of MAPs. Well, perhaps it is, but not in an exploitative manner.
I've met many women who got married when they were their early-to-middle teenage years and they had long, happy lives despite that their husbands may have been noticeably older than them. I am yet to meet a woman who got sexually molested at 6 years old and would like to repeat the experience. A men-hating pseudo-feminist named Michelle once got angry with me on a discussion thread for making that same point. Oh, well. Let her live inside her box. Her kind are incorrigible.
2. Misconceptions About Marriage Between An Adolescent Girl And An Adult Man
The other day when I was surfing around on YouTube, I stumbled across this one episode of Chicago Med in which this 14-year-old girl encounters complications with her reproductive system and there is a question over what she wants and what her 50-something-year-old husband wants. As per usual, the producers of this television show used an actor who fitted the deplorable stereotype of a 50-something-year-old man who was either married or intimately involved with an adolescent girl.
This 50-something-year-old man was overweight, balding, and unattractive. Why is it that whenever there is a television show of this nature, the producers of it never use an actor over 50 who is handsome, in-shape, and charismatic like Brad Pitt, David Duchovny or John Stamos? Watching the clip from this show on YouTube got my blood coagulating, because the screenwriters and producers demonized this man any way they could.
The TV producers and screenwriters of this same show could have shown this 50-plus-year-old man volunteering to put his 14-year-old wife through college as has been known to happen in situations where girls have wedded that young. I begin to believe that men-hating pseudo-feminists like Fraidy Reiss and Jeanne Smoot were involved in the creation of this television show. Watch it below to see what I mean.
A Man In His Fifties Objects To His 14-Year-Old Wife Receiving Treatment For Ovarian Cancer
Now, what this one particular episode of Chicago Med brought to mind was a movie titled The Incredible Journey of Doctor Meg Laurel and a scene in it in which Lindsay Wagner, who played the role of Dr. Meg Laurel, attended a wedding of a girl barely in her teenage years and a 50-something-year-old man. Instead of going berserk, Lindsay Wagner smiled as she saw that cross-generational couple take their wedding vows to unite as one. Why should she have behaved any differently? Both parties wanted to share a future together as husband and wife.
On the other hand, on the above-described episode of Chicago Med, after the female doctor finds out that the 14-year-old patient of hers is married to a 50-something-year-old preacher man, later on this same doctor is found screaming to her cohorts that she wants this man arrested for rape. Eventually, she calls the man a predator to his face. Then again, the producers of that television show painted him in as negative of a light as they could.
Comparing the above-aforementioned movie with this one episode of Chicago Med demonstrates how much adverse influence men-hating pseudo-feminists have acquired upon television and movie entertainment in the past three to four decades. In the 1990s, there was even an episode of a television series named Picket Fences in which a 40-year-old man and his 18-year-old wife had everyone in their community believing that they were father and daughter so that nobody would discriminate against them or treat them disparately.
It gets much worse than what I described above. The posts that I read in the comments section of this same video clip are even more intellectually bankrupt than the television show itself.
In the comments section of that video, there was all the expected pedophile-panic propaganda despite that technically even a man in his fifties would not qualify to be a pedophile for wedding a 14-year-old girl according to the DSM-5. Every men-hating pseudo-feminist jumped on the bandwagon in the comments section and rambled on about how the brain didn't completely develop until 25 years of age, when such junk science has been debunked enough to discount it as described in Jason B Truth's article titled "Do Human Brains Really Take 25 Years To Reach Full Maturity?"
Whenever anyone would try to stand up to these dunces and tell them that there was a big difference between a 14-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl, some hothead would come out of nowhere and bring up the example of Lina Medina having given birth to a child at the age of five. I mean, in reality, Lina Medina's pregnancy at the age of five was a freak of nature. Anyone with reasonable intelligence knows that a 14-year-old girl can get easily pregnant if she doesn't use protection.
I wish that these know-it-alls would stop using these incidents of weird science from the distant past to argue their opinions. After Lina Medina became pregnant back in 1938, everyone was well aware that someone had sexually victimized her. No 5-year-old would even be thinking about having sex, and it would be like poison to her.
On the other hand, 14-year-old girls have been getting married and having babies since the beginning of time. It was only a handful of decades ago that American society started making a major issue out of age differences involving girls that young.
All the usual trolls and head cases came out of the woodwork in the comments section of the video above. A YouTuber who goes by the user name of @johnthesportsarchivist2600 stated:
She's still a child in the eyes of the law. It should be an automatic conviction for any adult who marries a child.
No, it shouldn't be, because then the legality of marriage would serve no purpose. In many state jurisdictions, minors can choose which parent they want to live with upon reaching 13 or 14 years of age in cases of divorce and custodial issues. Girls that young have the legal right to say no to an abortion. It's not as black and white as YouTuber @johnthesportsarchivist2600 believes.
Also, if you look at the definition of a child in English-language dictionaries, you will see that it differs from publication to publication. It is not as though this same man married a 7-year-old girl in Yemen.
It is incredible how YouTuber @johnthesportsarchivist2600 took the above episode of Chicago Med so seriously as though it was based on a true story. In any event, here is the problem. Our television and movie entertainment industry is brainwashing our society with this garbage. I'm not saying that teenage girls have not ended up in bad marriages in the past, but the above television show implies that all marriages between adolescent girls and adult men are exploitative and wrong.
In view of the temperament of little minds like YouTuber @johnthesportsarchivist2600 and the kind of Puritanical rhetoric they shove down everyone's throats, we all have to beware that tougher and more oppressive sex laws and marriage laws are coming our way here in the United States of America. For that reason, the doctrine of jury nullification is going to continue to play a role that is more and more important to the basic freedoms of Americans. Watch Eivind Berge's video about juries below.
Eivind Berge Describes The Importance Of Juries
The comments section of the above video clip of an episode from Chicago Med gets even more ridiculous than the above comment. Therein YouTuber @DGCCarr stated:
Children under 18? Does that mean there are children over 18? And I think the legal age for everything should be 21 to drive a car to vote to have sex to buy cigarettes all of it or better yet make it 25 years of age for everything to be legal. Most people are still not qualified to vote or have sex at 18 maturity doesn't stop till like 25
Let's get real. No elected official in their right mind would ever vote to raise the statutory age of consent to 25 years old anywhere here in the United States of America, and it would be political suicide for them to attempt to repeal the 26th Amendment to the United States Constitution that set the voting age at 18 years old and raise it to 25 years old.
People who spew this same rubbish that YouTuber @DGCCarr does are not grounded in reality. The Netherlands once had their statutory age of consent set at 21 years of age, and, by the 1980s, civil disobedience ensued everywhere with respect to these laws and the authorities became so lax about enforcing them that they finally had to lower the statutory age of consent in their nation.
The stupidity in that same comments section did not stop there. A YouTuber by the user name of stated therein:
My brother was married at 16 to his girlfriend (16 also). They were married til he died at 41 of a brain haemorrhage. They had one child and were very happy. It depends on the people involved. They were very mature. I know of a bloke in his 50's who is still not married because he acts so immature ....
Oh, wow. Now let me get this. Merely because this female dunce's late brother got married to his same-age high-school sweetheart when he was 16 years old, he is somehow magically more mature than a man in his fifties who never married? Moreover, how does being single in his fifties make a man any less mature than some glamor boy who got married when he was barely old enough to drive?
Toby Willis married his high-school sweetheart before he was even 20 years old, and it didn't make him a glittering beacon of manly maturity. In fact, he raped all of his daughters from the time they were toddlers, and he's now paying for it in the form of a 40-year prison sentence.
As you can see, men-hating pseudo-feminists want all of us men, particularly here in the United States, to be spitting images of Tony Danza. Well, truth has it that if all of us men, especially American men, were exactly the way these women wanted us to be, the entire planet would go to chaos. These women are deluded, and they are dangerous to the well-being of society.
When Doug Hutchison's marriage to Courtney Stodden came to an end, I felt bad for both Doug Hutchison and Courtney Stodden. They loved each other, and social pressures came flying at them from every direction because of their age difference in view of the fact that Mr. Hutchison was 51 years old and Ms. Stodden was 16 years old when they got married. If they had been living in France, their marriage probably would still be going strong to this very day.
When Macauley Culkin's clown-car marriage to Rachel Miner fell apart, I had no pity for either one of them. They thought that by getting married at 17 years old each, somehow it would make them teen idols in some kind of popularity contest that played in their heads.
After Mr. Culkin divorced Ms. Miner, he descended into drug abuse insofar as there were people that had thought that he had died after his whereabouts at the time had become unknown. Being married at 17 years old did not make him more mature than a single man in his fifties.
Doug Hutchison's marriage to Courtney Stodden even lasted longer than Mr. Culkin's two-year marriage to Ms. Miner. John Stamos got married and started a family in his fifties, and he wasn't immature before he did so while he was in his earlier fifties.
YouTuber used the British word "bloke" in her comment, and she spelled "hemorrhage" as "haemorrhage." Therefore, it is safe to assume that she is British. I recall when a couple of American YouTubers have made the point that some of these British YouTubers think that they can use their British accent and British colloquialisms to shoot manure from their mouths and make it seem like it is the intellectual truth. I'm starting to believe it.
Now, I am not here to insult British people, because there is a multitude of British scholars who have made valuable contributions to the world. Take the example of the late Dr. Stephen Hawking. He was British, and he was a brilliant scientist who was able to excel in everything he did in spite of the odds he confronted.
Nevertheless, whenever I read utter nonsense from a British YouTuber like , I cannot help but to agree with the school of thought of various Americans regarding how there are British people like her who take wrongful advantage of Americans' gullibility to their accents and colloquialisms. This woman simply did nothing to impress me at all.
There were some men-hating pseudo-feminists and manginas in the comments section of the above video ranting and raving about the power imbalance between a teenage girl and an adult man in a marriage or a romance. With all the adult men there are who have never been in a relationship, they certainly cannot overlook the fact that there have to be exceptions to that so-called rule.
Men-hating pseudo-feminists do enough to promote hypergamy in the American culture where there is bound to be power imbalances in both relationships and marriages. They want to have their cake and eat it too. At the end of the day, their ideals and so-called standards of proper male behavior are all a part of a destructive caste system that causes everyone to suffer in the end.
3. Manginas' Collusion With Men-Hating Pseudo-Feminists
Men-hating pseudo-feminists are always constantly asking why men their age marry adolescent girls or even get involved with them romantically instead of paying attention to their female peers. However, they never make the effort to find the answers to that question.
I could answer their questions in fewer than 5 minutes. If a man is in his twenties or even thirties, and he has never had a girlfriend in his entire life, a 36-year-old unmarried woman with three kids by three different fathers is not going to have anything to offer him.
Unfortunately, men-hating pseudo-feminists do not like to deal with the truth. They want every man on the face of the planet to cater to their make-believe world of age-appropriate perfection and go full Tony Danza throughout their entire life. Not everyone can be Tony Danza, and I would never want to be him inasmuch as I find him to be a smug overgrown punk.
Where it becomes outrageous is that there are actually manginas out there who buy into all of this perfectionistic drivel from these men-hating pseudo-feminists. There is a YouTuber who goes by the user name of Joker. His YouTube channel is the Better Bachelor channel. He called a pair of manginas out on their rhetoric in a video of his. Watch his video below.
YouTuber Joker Socks It To Matt Walsh And Michael Knowles
Some of you may be asking me what the video above has to do with the topic of my article. Well, in one of his videos, YouTuber Joker did indicate that he had no problem with adult men marrying adolescent girls as young as 15 years old. Therefore, men-hating pseudo-feminists detest him, and, as far as I am concerned, he is the voice of wisdom.
My response to YouTuber Joker is that all of us should be careful about what we believe whenever we watch Matt Walsh or Michael Knowles on camera, because these are the same two men who believe that aliens and extraterrestrials are demons. They have a blind faith in their core beliefs, whereas a truly wise man is not afraid to admit that he is wrong about something after confronting the evidence that disproves him.
4. Final Thoughts
It is incredible how self-righteous Americans will preach how the world owes you nothing. However, whenever a 14-year-old girl moves into town and everyone finds out that she is married to a noticeably older man, the whole world meddles into their lives despite that they don't want anyone sticking their noses where they don't belong. It's like the great American double standard for you.
Now, when I read the comments section for the video clip of the episode of Chicago Med embedded above, I did come across a few sensible posts here and there. There was this one YouTuber whose user name I do not recall who even warned that this movement against teenage marriage was stripping people, mainly men, of their basic rights.
There can be no way around the fact that Fraidy Reiss and Jeanne Smoot are a pair of men-hating pseudo-feminists who have never had the best interests of Americans at heart. It is incredible how these women will say such hateful things about every adult man who has ever fallen in love with a teenage girl, but, on the other hand, they don't seem to think that there's anything wrong with man-on-man prison rape.
Some of you may still be saying, "But how could a 14-year-old girl ever have a relationship with a man in his fifties that was even healthy or sound?" I'm not claiming that such cross-generational relationships cannot be toxic. They can be.
A French woman named Vanessa Springora claims that when she was 14 years old and she was involved in a sexual relationship with then-50-year-old Gabrielle Matzneff, their relationship ended in disaster. Of course, Mr. Matzneff was someone who played by his own rules. Then again, the French don't seem to stigmatize those kinds of relationships the way that Americans do, and this way of life has been woven into the cultural fabric of their society for centuries.
A gentleman named MG SINGH EMGE wrote an interesting article about it on his HubPages channel. The only thing about his article that I disagreed with was that Mr. Matzneff was a pedophile, because the DSM-5 would not define him as one.
On the other hand, Juan Peron was like a guardian angel to Nelly Rivas when he first fell in love with her back in the 1950s in Argentina. He was in his fifties and she was only 14 years old. He had no interest in any of her classmates, even though he contributed to their schooling. He was also very protective of Ms. Rivas and parents' interests and safety.
Neither of these two cross-generational couples were married, but they still make good examples that each and every situation of this nature needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis instead of being treated with a one-size-fits-all approach. I realize that there will likely always be people who disapprove of such age-gap relationships, but diversity is a reality and it needs to be respected.
Every time I hear or read the word "pedophile" whenever some dunce is describing a teenage girl going outside her peer circles in search of romance and intimacy, I feel like jumping into a time machine to 1885 and giving Dr. Richard von Krafft-Ebing a good pop in the head with a bullet. If he had never conceptualized pedophilia, we would all be living in a much better world than we do, especially us Americans.
In my opinion, Dr. von Krafft-Ebing is another Dr. Alfred Charles Kinsey in sheep's clothing. Both psychiatrists presented themselves as child advocates, but I would not doubt that Dr. von Krafft-Ebing had a hidden agenda like Dr. Kinsey that endangered society as a whole.
As I have stressed in other articles of mine and as I will stress again, men-hating pseudo-feminists will push their pedophile-panic agenda on everyone; and they will accuse those who disagree with them on the topic of teenage marriage of being child-trafficking enablers. However, whenever one of these witches get raped by an underage boy or a gang of underage boys and get wrongfully charged with statutory rape afterwards despite that they were the victims, these women then find themselves eating their own bitter words.
Would I encourage any adult man reading this article here of mine to take a 13-, 14-, or 15-year-old girl's hand in marriage? No, I wouldn't. I'm someone who would tell a girl that age to wait until she's 32 to get married.
I would also never encourage any teenage girl who was too young to drive to go on Tinder and hook up with a man twice or thrice her age, because it could open the door up for her to all sorts of stigmatizing situations. Then social pressures would eventually be flying at her from all directions after it became publicly known.
If I were at a family reunion and a 63-year-old aunt of mine were to tell me that she married her now-79-year-old husband when she was only 14 or 15 years old, I would not go so far as to accuse her husband of being the next John Couey or Donald James Smith merely because of their age difference.
I'm not even encouraging any adult male to initiate a sexual relationship with a teenage girl who is too young to drive either. However, I am encouraging everyone reading this article here of mine to keep an open mind and stop listening to these men-hating pseudo-feminists and their mangina counterparts.
Men-hating pseudo-feminists will argue that marriages between teenage girls and adult men are archaic anachronisms. Statutory-rape laws are also as ancient as the dinosaurs, figuratively speaking. I read somewhere that these laws have been in existence for nearly a millennium.
The concept of pedophilia has been around since 1886. Its popularization in the 1980s only unleased a great amount of confusion among Americans.
We all need to think outside the box and stop listening to all these self-proclaimed child advocates and men-hating pseudo-feminists about what should be instead of what is. Unfortunately, mostly people who have bad experiences with the laws and social taboos encompassing such hysteria are the ones who wish to change society and the law. Open your ears up to these same people, and you may just learn something.
I have never been in favor of bringing the term “MAP” into the English language, because it creates all sorts of confusion and misinterpretations. Diehard child advocates don’t like that term, because it gives actual pedophiles ammunition to water down their crimes against small children by claiming that what they are doing is no different from a 19-year-old man taking his 17-year-old girlfriend out on a date for Saint Valentine’s Day.
People who question the statutory-age-of-consent laws in our nation don’t like that same term, because it implies that there is no difference between the Don Johnsons and the Donald James Smiths of the world. It’s kind of like saying that all Salvadorians are MS-13 gang members simply because most MS-13 gang members are Salvadorian.
Furthermore, we, as American men, have to wake up to the fact that men-hating pseudo-feminists see us as nothing more than as their carnal property for one reason or another. They don't respect our individual needs. They want to use the term "MAP" to promote fake pedophilia at the detriment of others. In conclusion, the term "MAP" needs to go and be removed from the English language.
