Americans own about 265 million firearms, with about 1 for every man, woman, and child, but the concentration of weapons is possessed by the 3% of Americans whom own a collection of over 133 million firearms. The 2nd most heavily armed country per capita is Yemen: wonderful company for the U.S. I'm sure. 3 million men carry around loaded weapons daily, hardly any women do the same thing. The number of handguns has nearly doubled since 1992. Gun violence is also correlated with poverty and the downward spiral of U.S. socio-economic opportunity. It's time to reign in weapon culture as all their lawyers, guns, and money has let the shit hit the fan.
