Nepotism is favoritism shown to close friends or relatives by those in power of any kind.

In every organization, nepotism exists one way or the other. Cases come up where people in power have to assign a task to someone but are left to choose between professionalism or favoring a relative or friend. And most people end up choosing to favor a relative or close friend. This has a way of weighing down the working efficiency of the organization and does not give out the best outcome that organization could come up with.
However, everyone knows suppressing something like that is not quite easy. But it’ll be for the better, and is also the fair thing to do. Where each individual is given a chance to prove himself, and dedicate his hard work.
So many great minds and talents are being wasted and walked passed by without even being noticed everyday through nepotism.
Here I find Steemit a platform giving every individual a chance to display what he is made of, so kudos to steemit, kudos to steemers.
