Such a friendly face, yet also so weary. Staring back at us from the wall in his leafy Avatar. But who is this guy? What is he all about?
Maybe he’s the type to just chill out all day in some foliage, eating snacks and watching TV. Or perhaps he’s a hardworking member of nature, tirelessly out all night keeping the peace and rounding up the bad twigs, leaves, and debris that doesn’t stay in line.
In the world of suburban gardens, this guy is stuck high up on the wall keeping an eye on the others. The bushes and flowers are usually pretty good at staying tidy and not causing a fuss, but it’s those pesky deciduous trees and their rebellious leaf children always running around the yard, without a care for order and reason.
But still, despite their lawlessness, not all leaves are bad. Our hero here is himself a leaf, one who has risen above the chaos and become petrified into the stoney pillar of strength of the local area he is. The elements of the garden respect him. In fact some even fear his power over them.
It’s up to him if you get put back in line, or burnt in a pile of refuse. He makes the decision if you get extra fertilizer or aggressively trimmed within an inch of your life.
Yes, in the world of suburban gardens, he is the fickle god of their ephemeral decorativeness.
