Learning Steno
I decided to start learning steno for real, though I am not doing all that well, I have been training for a few days.
I decided to get a stenography hobby keyboard

You might say there is too few keys on this board but in fact there is exactly the right number, as it has the full steno layout. Steno is a all about chording keys to make whole words or sentences.
The point is that all the keys are in some sense modifiers, though that is a bit misleading.
You can think of all the keys as some kind of modifier for use in a chord, but that is not the whole story. Each key is associated with a sound, and these can appear on both sides of the keyboard.
I will not explain how it works more than this, for one then this would be a full novel (http://theartofchording.com) if you want to learn more, that is not my creation but it is a full introduction to the "art of chording".
What I mean to do is post some progress report here with how well I am doing, right now I am mostly trying to learn the vocabulary, so I still have a lot of hints when I train, since I feel that I don't know enough to "write" without the hints for a lot of things.
Though I still try and guess how things might be written, while I am not so successful it might help me even do better putting in some effort for guessing.
Anyway I mean to include some progress report, maybe even a few ones.
As of right now I am still using a more normal keyboard. I will probably get the Uni later, but it is still in the process of being shipped.
This was a lesson on a training site (https://didoesdigital.com/typey-type/) that I have done before, but without hints I am not so fast but I am steadily getting more accurate, and I probably can get pretty fast over time.
So far I have only done this for a week and not so serious.
My goal is to create a situation where I can use only steno for my computer usage. Though I am not sure when to go that far, I will probably start with writing every longer text with steno, but as of right now I think this would be a bit counter productive.
Though that was my way to learn to use dvorak when I changed to that, so maybe?
